About Denise Leo
As most people are probably already aware I am an Australian,
living in Northern Victoria, about 3 hours north of Melbourne. We have
a farm close to the Murray River .
My husband Noel and myself are the very proud parents of 4 adult children.
Our eldest Grant, is an electrical engineer and has been
living overseas for the last 10 years.
Our second child, is our only daughter - Anita . Anita
has a bachelor of building and is working for a Melbourne based firm
.
Our third child Ross, is a physicist ,now working in
the field of acoustics.
The youngest of our brood ,Stuart has completed university
in Melbourne doing Electrical Engineering.
I will be adding more photos of my family to this website
as time allows.
My main hobby is the breeding and exhibition of Pomeranian
dogs. So dont forget to have a look at some of the Pomeranian sites
I have been working on as well as this site.
Working on websites is my second hobby. Collecting Art
is my third hobby.
As a complusive owner of close to 700 premium domain names
& I am now working at developing some of these names.
I am also a very early adopter of technology.
During the late 60’s I worked for a major bank here in Australia,
as an accounting machinist. I remember, we used IBM machines ,which
back then, where really just very basic calculators, the size of a small
refrigerator. This bank had the first computer used by a Bank in Australia
and one of the first computers in Australia. I was selected to do a
3 week course at Head Office in Sydney in 1969 and came in daily contact
with this computer “ Fabacus” and it’s workings. This
was so exciting.
I bought my first computer in 1983, a sharp MZ -3540 ,which
runs the CP/M operating system Closely followed by the purchase of a
commodore plus/4 for my children. I still own these computers and occasionally
use these computers. One room of our home is computer graveyard, being
chook full of atari ST’s , commodore amiga’s various 486’s
and parts.
My children had the advantage of being second generation
computer users, unlike there peers who struggled when computers where
introduced to schools in Australia. My oldest son [ now 36} travels
the world , working only 8 months of the year, writing software for
major international companies like Total Oil, Wyeth chemicals.
The coming of the internet changed my life. I feel that
the internet is a much bigger event than man walking on the moon.
The internet gave me a global presence in my area of
interest [ Pomeranian dogs}. I had the second website worldwide in my
area of interest. The first site is no longer on the net, so Dochlaggie
Pomeranians is now the oldest established Pomeranian Dog Site on the
internet.
I have sold 4 of my Pomeranian dogs via the internet to
the rapstar Sean Coombs. I have sold another to a Saudi princess .Another
to an international model, an international cricketer and the list can
go on and on of famous people who now own a Dochlaggie Pomeranian.
I enjoy web development and graphic design. Both areas
I have had to learn to produce the web sites I desired. My early attempts
at web design where in the mid 90’s.
2006 saw the arrival of the mobile web via "mobi"
sites. Most of 2007 , I have spent working on the 60 mobi websites I
now have developed.
Some of my sites are featured in the mobi.mltd showcase.
The worlds first mobile doggie site- canines.mobi is a mobi.mltd featured
site. A music site owned and developed by myself, muso.mobi is also
featured on mltd.mobi's showcase of featured sites and was featured
site of the week.
During 2007 I developed the worlds first art, antique,
beauty, dog , shetland sheepdog and pomeranian mobile websites.
Development for the Mobile web is very different to development
for the PC. Only small page sizes and small sized graphics can be used
or pages may not load on all phones. .
There is now a book available for free download on the
internet. This book is all about the first movers in the Mobile Internet.
Denise Leo is featured on pages 318/319
“Mobile,
Domains & The Future” is an extremely interesting and well-researched
journey through the mobile world from a business, future-oriented and
sociological perspective.”
